we live the same in gaspe, quebec. no more resources, gone with the men, now nothing. eastern provinces must do something together. we're the most beautiful place and we have the most beautiful people in canada. now they want to patrol the north pole for defense purpose. couldn't they do it to protect the atlantic fish stocks and the sea from the huge foreigh fishing boats before it was too late? and we're supposed to be a powerful western nation!

Harper may be correct that the problem may not just be greenhouse gases contributing to global warming. Particulates in the atmosphere can trap heat near the ground. We might ask how much deforestation and urbanization have contributed to global warming in the last few centuries. The decisions we make need to be rational ones. Perhaps environmental issues should be de-politicized as monetary policy is.

And if the Liberals were still in power there'd still be Government inaction on this issue and many others. (In my opinion) He has done more for Canada in one year than the Liberals have done in Thirteen. I was a hard core Liberal until I stood back and noticed Stephan Harper has done a lot for Canada in just one year. I am proud of what he has done for us Canadians weather we are Conservative or not he has done it for all of us.
