It's a "peer-to-peer" kinda thing, if you know what I mean... It guides me, and I help it do it:

1. When the controller tells you the runway you will be landing on, just look for the ILS frequency for THAT runway on the map, then put it in the radio stack, in NAV 1, on the right side (stand-by). Then shift it to the left, to have it activated.

2. If you want another runway, say a longer one, tell it to the controller, then do the same: look for the ILS freq. on the map, etc. If not, then leave it be.

3. When he says "[...] Cleared ILS on runway [...]", answer him, then make your final turn, THEN first turn OFF ONLY the heading hold button, then turn ON the APP hold button, with the NAV/GPS button already being switched to NAV mode!

4. As you come in, don't panic when you see the altitude holder and the descent rate holder, both turning off! It's a plane's computer controlled thing. It's natural, for it begins to descend to the runway, and holding the altitude furthermore wouldn't make any sense.

5. However, you may control it manually, but only up or down: If you see you're coming in a bit too low, raise it a bit, or the other way around. Actually, watch the 2 diamonds on the display, that show you if you're O.K., compared to the glidescope. You may control the power, too, BUT ONLY if you turn off the speed hold. I've chosen not, 'cause it's always better when computers control it. I've set up a button on the joystick to turn off the airspeed holder, so that, when the time is right, I can have it off. That way I can focus entirely on the field, rather than searching for the button. I'll fix 2 more buttons, one for the APP holder, and one for the altitude holder, the latter because there are lots of runways that don't have ILS frequencies, and you gotta land manually. And, when the time's right, I cand easily have the altitude off on the joystick.

6. Just about 200m (600ft) before touchdown, quickly turn off the APP button, to be able to correct the heading for touching the runway. I guess on windy/stormy days it's better that way...

  • N-am auzit până acum să existe o funcţie ca aia. Eu obişnuiam să acţionez Speed Hold pe la 15-20 knots, dacă chiar aveam de parcurs o distanţă mare.

  • functia autoland...merge fara sa instalez nimic:)?am incercat sa programez,am reglat frecventa tot dar avionul s-a prabusit:)) nu prea ma pricep la aterizari si sa ma aliniez cu pista,deci as vrea sa stiu daca se poate ateriza intr-un mod mai ...automat.

    Dar faza e că, pe Youtube, sunt deja câteva tutoriale pentru Autolanding. Încearcă să cauţi prin cuvinte cheie, pe Youtube: FSX autoland tutorial.

    Dacă nu înţelegi aşa bine în engleză, o să încerc să-ţi fac un rezumat, dar îţi spun că mai bine pricepi vizual :)
