Part 2/2

A capture from the 1998 Star Trek PC game, "Klingon Honor Guard." This mission takes place on an Andorian space station.
The most interesting part of this mission is the space walk. You pick up a pressure suit and mag boots and go for a stroll along the outside of the station in order to gain access to a secure area. Interesting gameplay along the way.
Microprose was the first 3rd party licensee of the Unreal Engine. They didn't use it quite as well as its creators, but it certainly wasn't painful on the eyes in 1998.
I used Zeckensack's wonderful and free Glide Wrapper to play the game in XP. The Direct3D support that is added with the one and only patch for the game is very poor. Without the Glide wrapper, you will probably have to use software rendering. The game uses an early version of the Unreal engine (not much different than the one used in the original Unreal.)

this game was hard as hell, too many puzzles.

No, this game is great but, EF had a very good skirmish 'with bots' section and you can't 4get the levels with the borg, scary stuff.
Add mods and EF is the better game but this is still very good!

How many games out there have let you play as the Klingons as opposed to the Federation? Not too many as far as I know. And I agree with CrazyQuark about Elite Force getting more credit than its due. KHG was a lot better I think, in terms of gameplay and fun.

YOu know I enjoyed this game much more than Elite Force which was released after that. Back in the days Elite Force got very high praises unlike Klingon Honor Guard, but in my opinion the levels were all too short, easy and way to linear. I'll always prefer KHG, THAT was a fun game.
