@elgaed69 If you want ONE little example, look at the caution signs. (The yellow diamond sings). No .... they aren't all symbols. Most of them have WORDS written on them saying things like lane ends merge left, or narrow bridge, or one lane bridge, etc. You're nieve as hell you actually think every motorist that sees a yellow diamond is cautious let alone will abide by them. They have to READ the fucking things to know what they mean. Yes.... a person should be able to READ these before driving.

This video is dubbed. He is actually saying ching chong chang, ling long lang. Anyway, if a cop pulls over a driver, he should be able to expect that the driver will be able to speak English. Safety issue otherwise.

You sound arrogant as shit jbc814 your the reason why people hate america

One language for each country - this is not Europe where your neighbor (figuratively speaking) speaks another language. It's absurd to have to deal with so many languages over here.

@elgaed69 So why don't you suck his dick then? Oh, you have to have him pull out of your ass first, oops. The same indignant way that you responded to me should be reserved for him. That's the point, the only reason I can think of you defending the turd biscuit, is that he's your one and only true love biscuit.

@StupidIdiot12345 Thanks for that.... I work on the highways.

@MrPoliticsGeek If your mother is "barely fluent in English" and she has trouble reading the signs that, for instance, warn of "reduced speed for construction ahead", is she not putting other people in danger? The signs they put on roadways aren't there just to look pretty.
I don't think people necessarily need to be incredibly fluent speakers, but they sure better be able to read the road signs...

You pulled that out your ass about Spanish speakers being here longer. No, this is the US, NOT Mexico.. We've always had English speakers longer and had more than Spanish speakers. If you want to live here, learn it. If not, you are going to be seen as disrespectful. You want to live here but not even bother to learn English. disgusting. We shouldn't have to learn Spanish for you.
it makes sense to have things only in english. you have no idea how many people in this country are just here and have no clue what people are saying. would you like someone driving around not being able to read anything. it doesn't just revolve around the stop sign. and its not directed at any one certain gender or race or nation. it makes sense to everyone.

@brentb21
I guess it's easy to say that it makes sense to everyone
but in everyday life, not having a driver's license can really hurt immigrant families who r willin to work hard.
for example, someone like my mother (who is just barely fluent in english) wouldn't be able to take care of the household or her kids without a car.
in principle, it's a good idea to have a unifying language, i agree. but in practice, aren't we depriving hard working immigrants a crucial tool to live?
