What I don't understand is why this is a political issue to begin with and not a decision a couple makes in private. If you take away the contraceptive nature of condoms, you're still looking at a somewhat effective measure of defense against certain sexually transmitted diseases. Wearing a rubber these days isn't just about avoiding pregnancy, it's about being safe. A person who believes we, as a society, shouldn't be allowed to protect ourselves doesn't deserve a place on the ballot.
