Taken in the Shedd Aquarium October 18, 2008. The Octopus is one of few animals that has complete control over the chromatophores in its skin (unlike Chameleons, which change based on emotion). This Octopus is changing from Red to White, which is typically a display of nervousness or an attempt to ward off predators or other threats.
