this is my ma 3 weeks after having a cavernous sinus meningioma removed from her brain base/brain stem. She had it diagnosed 2.5years ago, and a few months before the op some symptoms like difficulty with swallowing and throat control as well as other bodily functions started to affect her. So she opted for the surgery...her consultant gave her about 2 years without it.
The surgery lasted 10hours, she was in intensive care 2 days, then in recovery ward for a few days, then in general ward for a couple of weeks. This vid was taken an hour after she got home.
The op has completely reversed the choking and other bodily functions problems, as well as removing 80% of the tumour.
I've posted this vid because if you have a brain tumour or know somebody who does, i hope this vid will show you its not the end of the world, and though you maybe terrified, as my ma was, just realise that even the most difficult tumours can be treated. Please pass this vid to anyone you think may benefit.
good will and luck to your sister...the brain is an amazing thing...in time she will be ok...namaste :-)
