Venomfangx has, to my knowledge, issued 30 or more DMCA notices within the last few days.

In or around September 2008 he served (on his own admission) about 150 dmca take down notices.

On the previous occasion he was forced to make an apology to thundf00t. In that apology he made certain statements which are shown in this video. Namely;

1. that the DMCA is a US copyright statute;
2. that service of a dmca notice was done under penalty of perjury;
3. issues, such as discrideiting him (or putting his family in danger) were NOT issues of copyright; and
4. misuse of the dmca could lead to his suspension from youtube.

Venomfangx is fully aware (or he should be) that the issuing of dmca notices for reasons other than for legitimate protection of copyright is against youtube's Terms of Use; is potentially an act of perjury and certainly leaves himself open to civil liability.

Despite that, he has made it clear that he has issued the most recent dmca notices in order to "protect him and his family".

Not only is this no defence to the misuse of the dmca, it is in my view a total fallacy. If indeed he was worried about his family he would never have returned to youtube.

Why are you giving Shawn yet ANOTHER chance. He's been here before. Thunderf00t offered him much the same deal, which he promptly spat on... before eventually being forced to accept apologize.

Then we had the whole Sick Kids Hopsital Fiasco, and he got off again.

Now you have him over a legal barrel, yet again... and you offer him a deal that will allow him to continue his smut in a year, and 10 days to decide.

Dpr, I say this as a subscriber and a fan, and with 100% due respect:

You Sir are being far to lenient on VFX. 10 days pffft, frak that, I would have suggested 72 hours, AND I would file a civil suit.

The time has come to make a legal example of VFX. Sue him and his enablers to the fullest extent of the law Then other would-be, wanna-be, VFXs will see the example and not venture upon the same path.

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. Just file counter notices, let us know of any other legal actions taken. What good these games of forcing someone off youtube does is beyond me. I say no more attention to this creationist liar.

I hope Shawn has deleated his account by now and just takes some time to reflect on what his acts of perjury have done to his personal life. I would hate to say all his claims are lies because you would have to be a socialy twisted individul to say what he has said and not have any of it be true.
