Anthony Newley - "When You Gotta Go" - '69

From the film, Can Herronim... Harony... Heiron... From the movie.

I remember Brucie (who had a small part in the movie, as "Uncle Limelight") closing EVERY episode of a song and dance show he had on ITV in '69 - with this fantastic number. NO-ONE complained about the repetition.

I recorded two gems from this film on my album, "Unsung Hollywood" : "I'm All I Need,"and "When You Gotta Go," which has gotten radio play. These songs deserve to be heard!

Actually, Anthony Newley didn't sing this song in the film. Georgie Jessell sang parts of it as the character, "The Presence of Death". This is from the soundtrack.

I'm so glad they included the full version on the soundtrack. Another great song that didn't make it in the film was "Oh what a sonofabitch I am!."
