a fraction too slow

I must say, I have never heard anyone with this type of of talent since RR

@jeffj257 The top neck has the E and A strings dropped to D and G as far as I can tell. So the tuning looks like DGDGBE. You can play an open g and still fret the top 4 strings normally.

7 people have no appreciation for good music.

Paul Gilbert blows the doors off most for absolute certain !! Impressive guy !
-
is he playing in open G?
-
@SlickPick21 i think i was meaning that he changed clothes! yes though.. i'm sure he plays it identically every time!
-
@TomasEagleMusic That's just a testament to Minneman's consistency. A lot of musicians make the same faces when they play a certain beat or riff. It helps them play it the same.

Mesmerizing! I just love Paul's appreciation of songs from his musical past. As a musician, how can you write for the future if you don't know your past. From what I can tell Paul is deeply rooted in the songs that came before. Beatles, Zep, Rush, Clapton etc. Add a fun sense of humor and the ability to blaze new musical trails and you have a pretty cool combo that is, Paul Gilbert!!! WORD!!
