Most countries tip 15% in restaurants but most people tip the amount of the tax, depending on the percentage of the tax in the province/state you're in. I tip based on the 15% + quality of service + friendliness of server + # of times the server checks up on me. I find that nowadays too many waitresses only depend on their looks and smile to get a good tip rather than actually giving good service.

Women like that should only be bartenders, not waitresses! Men are actually better servers:P

I enjoy your site very much. I have a favor to ask. I have a Polish friend that I am trying to help. I want to teach her how to pronounce the vowel sound in "bird" "word" etc. You have a bit of an accent but you seem to have mastered that one particular word very well. Can you do a lesson so my friend can watch and learn. This would be much appreciated. P.S. - Did you know that many foreigners have trouble pronouncing this verbal sound because its only found in the English language.
