Dudes! Check this out. There's an audio demo for Mike Varney by Shawn Lane from back in 1983 you can listen to here on Youtube. The beginning of this thing by Rusty sounds a LOT like it. I know Rusty's a Shawn Lane fan. Compare the two videos and see if you hear the similarities. Very interesting.
Technically talented? What is that exactly? Surely fast technique just comes down to practicing playing very fast, I don't see why a monkey couldn't do that given the right training. There is no musicality or anything apart from playing as fast as possible here. It doesn't take a talent to do that, just a lot of work.
um...it takes lots of talent to play clean AND fast. and don't even say that a monkey could do that because you know that you can't even do it...and if u can, why dont u post a video?
