Track from this album - http://www.amazon.com/Soothing-Sounds-Baby-Electronic-Raymond/dp/B000001YCH - originally produced in 1963.

I read somewhere that this track is to be considered the most avant-garde of Scott's electronic lullabies.

But my question is: ... How can it even be considered a lullaby at all? X P

The booklet that comes with this CD contains an invaluable essay on Scott and the development of electronic music.

  • @WillFielder78 Now there's an idea. ...

Yeah - do that. ... I can get behind that project totally!

  • @MB7electronic it's kind of innovative. definitely not what im use too but i still like. i think i can take this song and remake it into something bigger. :)

  • @WillFielder78 Ha ha ha. I can't believe people are liking this. I uploaded it for sheer historical interest! : D

  • TYPE WRITER MEDLEY. very creative and way different then what im use too. I like it. :)

  • @TheFutureClassics When Joy posted this shot on Flickr, I pointed out that the word "can" inside that pyramid is inspirational. And Joy took offense! She intends her art to be subversive instead.

And I'm sure every child ever subjected to listening to Scott's lullabies grew up to be subversive - and maybe even a terrorist!

  • Typewriters are so sixties and yet this sounds so contemporary :-)

Sushi is indeed a great idea!!
