@MrBRUCELEE98 These were never advertised as freestyle. Written battles are a step forward for the evolution of rap battling. In a freestyle battle, you don't have much time to make complex structure, biting personals, good comparisons and genuinely funny comedy. You just analyze what you see and push out the same 4 angles for a whole battle. Written battles display intelligence and let emcee's flex their pen game. Its better entertainment and takes more skill in the long run.
