Bless you for advocating for your brother and not giving up hope. Have you read anything by Pat Deegan? She lives with schitzophrenia, and was institutionalized for many years- but now she has her Doctorate and is a strong mental health advocate. She designed an independant living program for people with disabilites,and wrote about coping with voices.
