A great piece of music that has all but disappeared from the scene. Recorded July 7, 1952 (Decca 28342, Adios was the A side & Carmen's Boogie the B side), it showed up on only a couple albums. A throw back to the early 40s Boogie music while 50s music was changing things and moving forward. Give it a THUMBS UP if you agree that this is among the best from the great Andrews Sisters.

  • Hey, I tried to transcribe the lyrics but I can´t figure out everything as I am not a native speaker. Can someone please help me? I would really appreciate it. Those are the lines I couldn´t hear correctly: 2nd verse: The long haired music with the crew(?) cut twist Don´t love oven(?) and don´t love much 3rd verse: It even made your (prawl???) to rock 5th verse He played (five hanna???) but they shot him dead Rhett deserved it the such-and-such He (???) Boogie with a Carmen touch Thanks!
  • @lephonque I found a couple sites after I did a Google search, but YT won't let me post the link.

  • @vegas1a Thanks for the link! That was fast! :-) Awesome! Did a google search myself but didn´t come up with anything usable. Thanks!!!!!

  • And thank you for posting this song!

  • I found this song on an Andrew Sisters audio cassette and loved it, but I always wanted a digital version. Thanks!

  • Today I read a reference to the opera Carmen, and this song started going through my head! I haven't heard it since I was a kid, but I still remembered a lot of the words. Thanks for posting it!

  • I was actually searching for The Crew Cuts' version when I came across this one. I have been a huge Andrews Sisters fan since I was little (I am in my 70s now) and have a large collection of their records but I didn't have this one. I've never even heard it before - it's great!

Thanks very much for posting it.
