Did I just got Rickrolled?

Im a newbie at this sort of thing, how do you program the leds? can anyone reference me to a website that explains it?

TechnoRickRoll!

I'd prefer those if they were easier to read off. E.g. LEDs that are dark when off (these ones appear white when off) and bright when on so that they can be easily distinguished and easier to read off.
I got LED-Roll'd!

This is quite possibly the coolest RickRoll ever.
Yup, they're the medium RG ones.

awesome, i picked up the small rg ones and they work like a charm. just wondering, what chip are you controlling them with?
TheJugglingJohn 3 years ago
Essentially this is an Arduino with six shift registers - the Arduino uses three pins to send a series of bits to the shift registers which then output them to the matrices, letting it control both screens using just three pins.
It's actually my own PCB with the same chip as the Arduino on top, but the idea is the same.

did you have to use red leds, i cannot see red very well :(

The matrices do have green LEDs as well, but at the moment the program only illuminates the red ones.
