  • @loveoldmovies I think you are absolutely right there--Courageous Thelma told the mob to 'get lost' when they wanted her cafe--and they rubbed her out. Yes, THAT's tragic--she was a fine comedic actress and great beauty, to boot. Lets watch her good movies and remember that her films aren't 'tragic'---but great fun--and so was she.

  • Pretty is pretty no matter what time period you are talking about.

  • West and Thelma were partners in the Sidewalk Cafe, and Thelma had been married to Lucky Luciano's West Coast righthand guy, Pasquale Di Cicco, who called himself a theatrical agent but was a cruel guy who took advantage of women...he later married Gloria Vanderbilt when she was 17. Thelma divorced Di Cicco over 'extreme cruelty' a year before she was murdered. He left LA the day after her body was found. Thelma had agreed to testify against Lucky and her life was threatened. I think he did it.

  • @lana1939 There is still talk that Roland West had Thelma Todd killed. Wasn't West in the mob?

  • This are such great clips...and the director was Roland West, her married lover, who was a suspect in her death. He locked her out of the house that night...if not, she would have lived. What a loss. Love Chester Morris with her...She was smart, beautiful, sexy, funny, and athletic...Thanks for sharing this tribute!

  • Fantastic video. Its a shame that Thelma Todd's film work is so overshadowed by her strange death. She looks amazing in these clips. well done

  • Gad, Thelma was exquisite--and funny! You can't take your eyes off her--definition of a star. Carole Lombard and she shared similar comic gifts/beauty, but I think "Toddy" was even more down to earth.

  • most beautiful woman period !

    thanks

  • @LazlosPlane You bet, I'd suck those little beauties dry!

  • Nice tetas there at the end. What a honey!
