One question, do you play the E chord on purpose the way you do? 'Cause Elliot plays an Em9th in the original, like this for example (more ways to play it): -0-2-2-0-3-2-

During the G chord in the intro, you need to put your ring finger on the third fret of the B string. ;]

probably half hour of really sitting down and learning the picking. its not too hard once you know the picking.
