One of the most dramatic environmental disasters in history of mankind was the oil spill of the exxon valdez back in 1989. More than 250,00 animals were killed.
Dance 2 trance composed a music piece in remembrance of the animals killed and as a warning not to forget the importance of the environment.
From their 1992 cd "Moon spirits".


Dance 2 trance are considered as one of the first trance acts ever. Rolf Ellmer and Dag Lerner formed this group. In 1995 Ellmer left to focus on another project Jam & Spoon. Their best known track is Power of American Natives.

I have always loved this tune. I didn't know it was dedicated to the animals killed from the Exxon Valdez disaster.

It is really sad the death and suffering those animals went through.

It is upsetting to watch.

Why not steam? Before internal combustion got big, some of the steam cars at the turn of the century were going 100 miles on 1 gallon of gas (which was used to heat the boiler, instead of wood), and even recycling the steam with condensers. with today's technology, seem we could make steam power safer and even more efficient.
