@sls19050: It's actually an old animation that I did a few years back; the main point was that the misfolded conformation is unambiguously different from the native state. No, I actually have very little faith in any of the speculative models of PrP aggregates that are floating around out there -- and I definitely don't mean to endorse the beta-helix model.
