In this video from the Saugerties debate, 10/14/2010, Maurice Hinchey amazingly complains about people who oppose the idea of "stopping the rich from getting richer." Phillips responds by explaining taxes from a constitutional standpoint.

  • Phillips is for the rich as usual for a Republican.Congressman Hinchey has always been working for the people! He has our families votes!

  • It's not about raising taxes, it's about ending the irresponsible Bush tax cuts mostly for the rich that should never given, and that cost us $4 TRILLION in national debt. Taxes under Clinton were already lower than during the Reagan era. Phillips says "it's not the government's money." Well, that $4 TRILLION was our children's and grandchildren's money -- not this current generation of rich folks. It's called Greed, George Phillips, and it needs to stop! That's why I'm voting for Hinchey.
