In this video from the Saugerties debate, 10/14/2010, Maurice Hinchey amazingly complains about people who oppose the idea of "stopping the rich from getting richer." Phillips responds by explaining taxes from a constitutional standpoint.
It's not about raising taxes, it's about ending the irresponsible Bush tax cuts mostly for the rich that should never given, and that cost us $4 TRILLION in national debt. Taxes under Clinton were already lower than during the Reagan era. Phillips says "it's not the government's money." Well, that $4 TRILLION was our children's and grandchildren's money -- not this current generation of rich folks. It's called Greed, George Phillips, and it needs to stop! That's why I'm voting for Hinchey.
Phillips is for the rich as usual for a Republican.Congressman Hinchey has always been working for the people! He has our families votes!
