Because of nintendo's notorious evil dictatorship over game makers back in the 80's.

Thank you so much, it now makes me wonder why Super Contra never got a PCE port

@bisexualbuffthug I know this is a 3-years old post, but Konami did support the PC Engine. Perhaps you might have heard of a game called Dracula X. Hell, Snatcher was also a PCE game before it was ported to the Sega CD. The truth is that while Contra has a following in Japan, it was more popular in North America, so there was very little reason to release a Contra game for the PCE. It's the same reason the Genesis never got a Gradius game (since the Gradius series was only popular in Japan).

This music is misplaced, it was used for the hydra miniboss instead of the final boss. Also, the alternate Stage Clear jingle is misplaced.

You can always take the orchestra hit from PC Engine Batman.

Zest'bao jiroghkjlow nomniukiesd?

It definetly would've been great. It's crazy to this day that the PCE/Turbo-Graphix 16 had no slowdown whatsoever..

Batman uses 'orchestra hit' sample. It has the sample stored as a few different notes - only the ones it needs. 7khz 5bit pcm ;)

Awesome. I think this will be featured on the Contra HQ front page soon! Thanks for all the remixes; I have enjoyed them for a couple years now.

Hell any Contra game period.
I love the music in Super Contra. I would love to hear Thunder Landing with the Turbografx16/PCE sound.

It made it to unremarkable selection as much as possible this time though the music of this game had the feature in the orchestra hit. Because KONAMI is not offering the tone of the orchestra hit in the game of PCE, it is necessary to bring it from HUDSON etc.
It is a pretender somehow though can make from this.
