Very daunting process of getting those FO cables in without breaking. I think the hard part is over, the time consuming part is still to come, but these cables were the only thing I was worried about screwing up. I should have it all in one piece very soon, and good headway on the putty work.

  • helipilot27.... youtube will not let me post my e-mail address in the comments box so could you send me yours via my youtube message box (ddschelin)

  • @ddschelin Now why would I do that? PS if you were able to post your email addy here it would be on every spam list known to man, so be glad someone is looking out for you.

  • @helipilot27 thank you....I was looking to get the pdf file you talked about in your post as like u said it would be very helpful,,I have not had hands on a mdl build in 20 yrs and I am interested also as to where u purchased your paints "ie" white wndw frost & the translucent/transparent red for airbrushing as you mentioned in your #-3 post.....Doug.

  • @ddschelin Ohhh ok. I don't think I have it anymore, but if you go to starshipmodelerDOTcom and ask around in the trek modeling section.. it shouldnt be hard to find. It really just covers an alternative building technique on the nacelles that I didnt care for. The frost spray can be found at a craft store like Michaels, paints are just Testors Model Master paint...but I used regular Flat red for this job as I wanted it to be semi-transparent.

  • I have one of these that I am preparing to build once I get all of the extra's purchased and readily on hand for the build, what PDF file are you referencing and where can I download it from..AND BY THE WAY I WATCHED ALL OF YOUR POSTS ON YOUR 1/350 REFIT MODEL AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! " EXCELLENT MODELING SKILLS".

  • @ddschelin Thank you, send me your email and I will foward it to you. Its a good write up telling you tricks on nacelle construction and fixing warpage issues. PS, I have it on my work computer and I do not have it here with me. Wait 10 days before sending me your email so I will not forget.

  • @helipilot27 hey thank you very much I really do appreciate all the help & tips I can get from great modelers like yourself.....truly appreciated....Doug..

  • you really need to have a knowledge of electronics for this

  • If you want to give it another shot, try watching Season 4. Manny Coto came on board as an executive producer, and the show got much better. It was the last season unfortunately.

  • Wonderful!!! I so appreciate the work every model builder puts into these kits. Whether you light them or not, high tech paint them or just follow the plans right out of the box. Love the modeling industry and Star Trek models in particular. The work you are doing just blows me away and also give me ideas towards a future build. Outstanding work. Looking forward to future videos!!!
