My wife and I did our first off-road driving on Drummond Island while on vacation. In spite of being rookies with no winch and no partners -- in a completely stock vehicle -- we did well and had a great time. We were also grateful for the very nice group of people we met from the Gladwin, MI area. They provided spotting assistance at the "Steps". By the way, breakfast at the Bear Tracks Inn is a MUST.

nice video, I go up to the island every summer in my jeep. I recognized a lot of your video. It was the first place I had ever four wheeled also. After going up there I got hooked.

Yes it is. It's a beautiful place with lots of trails. The trail marking was upgraded this year to make things easier to navigate and more enjoyable. If you can spend a few days riding, it will be well worth it.

Yeah, it might not have been the smartest thing we've ever done, but we decided we were going to go out and have a good time. We've recently added a winch to provide a little added security.
