why is every one dropped down i can do the song with out it being dropped down.

The chords will sound the similar, but they wont have that crisp distortion sound you get when you drop tune. Thats why people drop tune. If they both sounded exactly the same, then no one would ever have invented baritone guitars and drop tunings.

Because it wont sound right unless its dropped down. Skillet plays it in drop tuning.
