The Avs had tied the game by this time. Late in the 1st, Brian Rafalski makes a great one time pass off a turnover to Alexander Mogilny who gets the puck ahead to Scott Gomez over the Avalanche blueline. Gomez drops the puck to Mogilny who rips a shot past Patrick Roy to put the Devils back on top, 2-1!
