~"Melodies of Life" from Piano Collections IX~

*Revision*

I will keep this short and simple.

For this Revision of "MOL" I was concentrating and improving upon 5 Key Concepts:

1.) Concentrate on Touch (No more pounding!)
2.) Keep fingers light! (For this entire piece I used the Soft Pedal, which helped out a lot)
3.) Rely more on gravity to create a softer sounding volume (Prevents short stunted sounds)
4.) Keep wrists lose to help convey grace when performing (Relaxes entire performer)
5.) Express emotion through fingers, hands, and wrists rather than the actual body (Gives a more professional look to the performer)

I admit there are a few minor note errors (due to the blocky keys of the piano) during the transition after the climax and the conclusion... But after two weeks of finally coming up with something I am actually satisfied with, I am pretty happy with this performance.

I really wanted to have this piece ready and uploaded a week ago... but due still playing many errors, I was dissatisfied.

This also took many performance outtakes... forcefully playing and stopping the record button which I became quite frustrated. So I started to concentrate on my "Ami" piece and played "Mol" on the side.

I basically played through this piece twice everyday for two previous weeks. During my current recording (Aug 12, 2006) session I felt much more relaxed compared to my first "MOL" recording.

I would like to apologize... I know I can make this piece sound as high quality compared to the original CD.

But after recently playing the piano at my community's church, I realized it was not necessarily my technique that was wrong it was my piano at home which created such "sharp" and "loud" bangy sounds.

Because of the piano I own, I have to work at least 10 times harder than if I were on a baby grand piano/ better quality sounding piano.

Too bad though, I could make this piece sound a lot more beautiful than it is on this video.

My brother ManHoPark actually admits, my touch has improved (which is super, because he usually disliked my performances from before).

Final Fantasy IX was over shadowed mainly by FF7 and FF8. A lot of people though that going back to its roots, the character designs were a little cheesy. Maybe so but the game is hilariously entertaining, offers strong cast of characters, and storyline was greatly executed. And of course the music. It's probably one of my favorites too =] I recommend you try to play it =D

yeah i think the first that put me off was the unconventional art style, but it really does look like a good game, and i hate judging things by the way they look :-/

the music is beautiful. I remember liking the overworld theme before i learned what it was from months later.

All i have to do now is steal my friend's copy from my other friend's house along with one of their memory cards...

LOL, well, it depends on what you mean. Yep Bahamut's back. And yes their are dragon monsters, but they really don't steal the show. You pretty much got a "gay" looking feminine psychopath who I thought was a girl at first and steals the show as the enemy, throughout most of the game. But I won't let me spoil it. You will see his motives towards the end of the game, but can't help not feel empathy or sorry for him =D
