Tskhinvali Our pain

On august 10, I called my homeland and I finally heard the Voice of my dear sister. With her shaky voice, she told me that Russians are bombing Tskhinali. Do you mean Gori? I asked. They bomb everywhere but they are heavily bombing Tskhinvali. Have not Georgian troops ceased fire and retreated? I asked. Yes, she said. I knew the answer but I asked why they are bombing Tskhinvali? They are Russians, she answered in a broken voice. Grozny.. She added. I was continents away from her and I could feel closely the pain that was scorching her nerves, and that pain only made my tenderness for Georgia more insufferable, more debilitating. I could feel pain of millions of people in my body.

Georgian army was successful liberating Tskhinvali, they controlled the city. Russians and Ossetian had to retreat. If you know the Caucasus terrain you know that numerous troops arriving from high altitude off Roki Tunnel would be stuck in their own traffic thus helpless to aid. Russians could regain the city only by Air attack. So they bombed Tskinvali for Ge Solders & entire Georgia. Desperate they intentionally targeted civilians & reservists who cant shoot.

Oh, reason is very simple:

the War started 16 years ago. The war is not over until the last Russian Solder steps out of Georgia - oh, blessed is their return home.

No one can attack another country on Its territory. Not a bullet was shot outside of Georgia, Not even one solder of Georgia was outside the homeland.

On august 7th 2008 Georgia was reminded that you can not have foreign army on your territory & hope for peace, it was a wake up call. You will hear about this war a very long time.
