JLP Live in Santiago 1988 with: Baron Brown, Rayford Griffin, Wally Minko and Jamie Glaser. The video rights and music track belong to their owners.
A note about your concern of the sound quality of this video. When this concert was aired in '88 a friend of mine recorded it in a standard mono VHS recorder. Although I made a copy using my dad's hifi VHS recorder that year nothing was at hand to improve the sound quality. Before uploading to Youtube I took the time to remove the hiss and to improve the equalization a bit. I would have chosen to keep this tape stored but decided to share this rare treasure with those the music belongs to: the audience. I was there and it was thrilling to see the masters play live for the very first time. Let the music talk.

  • Excelente recuerdo lo maximo....

  • La manera que toca Jean Luc este tema, es sencillamente I M P R E S I O N A N T E Y B E L L O, por algo es el maestro, único y genial. Saludos.

  • Incr´vel amigo parabéns pela qualidade de som que ouviste...e ouvimos ainda hoje.

  • I love Jean-Luc so much!

  • I was lucky to be there to hear them live. As you said....fasten your seat belts and open your ears. Toughest sounding band I've ever heard. Only Stanley and Weather Report were in the same fusion league at that time.

  • As you say, this is a rare treasure...a gift from past time...

I saw this concert when it came through my town that year. It's one of those things where you take your seat, the concert begins, you get lost in it and, before you know it, it's over...and you say, "Already?!"

No worries on the sound quality, it was a great memory relived. Thx!

  • BRASIL: FUI VE-LO EM SÃO PAULO ONDE NASCI. NUNCA ME ESQUECI. OUÇO-O TODOS OS DIAS E CONSIDERO-O UM DOS DEZ MAIORES MÚSICOS DO SÉCULO XX. ORGULHO-ME DE TER SIDO UM DOS PRIMEIROS A OUVI-LO POIS TINHA QUE TRABALHAR MUITO PARA COMPRAR OS DISCOS IMPORTADOS DOS EUA. MEUS AMIGOS E FAMÍLIA ME CHAMAVAM DE LOUCO. TINHA QUINZE ANOS. HOJE TENHO MAIS DE MEIO SÉCULO!

  • It must have been hell to improve on the original sound track. I know the feeling.Thank you so much for the effort Flyzee. I thought no one would ever share this rare concert piece by Jean Luc.This is one of my favorite piece from this man of genius.
