Sequel to the underrated (and underbought too) Ubisoft video game Beyond Good & Evil. For the uninitiated it's a Zelda-like adventure with a nontraditional (meaning fully clothed) female heroine Jade & her pig mechanic friend Pey'J who look after orphaned young children in a shelter, only to find themselves drawn into crazy adventures in a unique sci-fi world.

Honestly, if you haven't played the original go find it! It was on all 3 of the previous consoles Gamecube, PS2 & Xbox, (And is backwards compatible on the Wii & select PS3s respectively, 360 is surely pending) so you have no excuse! But if you're still not convinced, the lovely Ultraneko from Sadie's Gaming Infection did an excellent first impression review of it here...

For those of you who know, look forward to this sequel in 2009! Even if it's only half as good as the original it would still be well worth the purchase! Good luck Yade, & see ya'll in 2009!

I loved the first game. It wasn't very ambitious, but still enjoyable with a nice plot and good characters.

@srry4beatinu I meant realism in terms of graphics, but since the original game is seen largely as a failure maybe they'll want to try a few things differently.

@AlucardsQuest thats good. but im worried that the changes they made to jade will reflect how willing they are to change the story? if they did do that to make it more realistic, then they didnt do it for us, they know that we will buy the game. they did it to attract new players so they will make more money, at the expense of the story. but other than her close and eyes, she looks close enough.

@srry4beatinu When they're probably going for a more realistic look for her. Btw, it is confirmed that BG&E2 is being made (according to Kotaku)... but not only are they taking their time with it, they seem to want to make the best game ever made. No small feat.

@AlucardsQuest yeah kinda, but where are her eyes? she turned for like a quarter second twice but her eyes looked way to small compared to jade from the origanal. she had big eyes

The leaked video is a lot better, it shows Jade running through the streets being shot at and and her platforming up and over buildings. I don't know if it's actual in-game footage, but it's a lot more exciting. This one... is just made to be silly. I'm not even sure why they even bothered to show this official tease anyway because the game could be as far as 2 years away from release, no one knows for sure.

Well it's more of a teaser, (I distinguish by length and content) and speaks more of the character Pey'J than the actual game itself... if it even exists anymore. There is a leaked teaser that's much more exciting... maybe I should have put the two together?
