Actually, Luther didn't die a week after this particular show. He died a week after final taping for THE SUMMER BROTHERS SMOTHERS SHOW in July 1968 which aired a few weeks after his death in August. This RE show is not even from 1968 but sometime in 1967. Cash was a little heavier by 1968 and began wearing turtle necks most of the time on both TV and in concert.

It had to be before late July 1968 because Luther Perkins died at the beginning of August 1968 if I remember well. I think that this show date more of 1966 or 1967 like you say
