  • I got this cooler, and its rubbish. It does keep a Phenom 9500 relatively cool (60 degrees centigrade load) but its noisy as hell, and the heatsinks are there for show. The joints from the heatpipes to the ribs is that small and loose virtually no heat is transferred, and the fans are 95% of the time flat out cooling heatpipes.

This week it will be replaced with a decent cooler (and a decent CPU :P).

  • 14 case fans and 50f ambient temp.

  • Nope, I got watercooling now to reduce noise,l but I had 14 case fans and the side panel off.

  • If you have 0 degrees ambient temperature then maybe its true! Otherwise... IMPOSSIBLE!

  • that cooler is total crap. I have seen one. Also, to the erictech603 you are lying. I have a Q6600 at 3.4 with a 9700NT that does 62C on load. There is no way you could be that low.

  • I got a zalman 9700 that can cool my q6600 @ 4ghz to 50c on load..I'll eventually upload videos as proof, but my current camera is crap.

  • the air flow will hit the fins more often pulling more heat away form it also creates a wind tunnel effect too. I have one on a phenom x4 9550 it keeps it's cool 43C max load thats with three 120mm case fans off. never get above 38C with them on there week fans too.

  • OMG! ubber O_O

  • Dude that thing is HUGGGEEE

  • Roswill makes an identical CPU Fan/Heatsink named the RCX-Z5 Ultra. As for if it is good, according to several overclocker sites, it can handle overclocked QUAD CORES!
