Also, it doesnt matter what batteries you have in the grip, as long as the grip is set to primary battery in menu d11.

You have the grip, but you have to set the grip to be primary in menu d11 in the nikon menu in your camera, otherwise it will use the stock battery as primary...and you will not get 8ftps..
