With help from relatives of the "Pistol Pakin Mamma" crew, Consolidated B-24 Liberator, SN 42-72989, I was able to add some updated photographs to this tribute. Thanks Tim and Phil for your contributions!

  • @TheLimbReaper My dad is Roger, he commented the video on my account.

  • @HAZARDROFLS Cool! Either friend me (so I can message you my email) or PM me with your dads email. I'd like to share a small amount of information with him about "The Lemon" and see if he has anything he can share.

  • Very nice presentation. It was nice to see my Uncle and his crewmates who lost their lives over Truk Atoll 5 May 1944.

  • @HAZARDROFLS Wow, are you saying your uncle was on B-24, "The Lemon"?

  • @HAZARDROFLS Hey, you never got back to me. Are you related to "Roger"?; same last name as yours. You need to PM me.

  • They will NEVER be forgotten, thank you heroes giving back our freedom.

Most respect to you, thank you from holland.

  • @hihahenkie Your kind comment means so very much to me and is greatly appreciated. I wish my Grand-father were still alive to see all this recently found information about his brother (the pilot). I'm sure it would be overwhelming for him to hear appreciation from Holland.

  • Excellent video LimbReaper.....very cool thanks

  • Timmy and all Contributors—Thank you. Your video provides a new element to my Uncle Rene.

My Mother kept Uncle Rene’s prayer/funeral card in her often-consulted 1950’s red-and-white-checked Betty Crocker cookbook. When asked, my Mother always said “~Rene is my brother whom I love and miss very much.” I never had a chance to meet my Uncle Rene; but somehow, like my Mother, I always miss Rene too.

Well done. Thank you.—Diane, Tim’s cousin in Philadelphia, PA

  • @mabrabes Thank you very much....Without the help from the family's this wouldn't be possible. Phil Brodziak contributed so many photos and [Rene] Brabender logs present a time line. Hopefully, maybe someday we can compile a complete printed (personal) book for the families including DVD's. I hope with the inclusion of this extra information more Pistol Pakin Mamma crew families will come forward. Thanks, Brant
