There's always something cool going on up here on Petit Jean Mountain. In addition to all the state park stuff, we also have several other attractions on top of the mountain - one of them being an antique car museum. Every year the car museum hosts two antique car "swapmeets;" one in the summer and one in the fall. The fall swapmeet is geared more toward antique military vehicles and one of the highlights of the swapmeet is the Saturday morning "trail ride"/antique military vehicle parade. My daughter, Emma, and I went on the trail ride last year in a WWII era Willys Jeep and the footage that I shot ended up being used in the Glenn Spayth "They Don't Call Them Willy Anymore" music video (you'll found it on our YouTube site here). This year, Mr. & Mrs. John Pojunos (of Olathe Kansas) allowed Emma and I to ride in their fully restored 1941 Dodge 1/2 ton open cab truck/transport...and we had a blast! Also with us in the back of the truck was the Horton family of Arkansas (Galen, Christy, Emiley, Grace, & Lady) and Ryan & Thomas Patton. We didn't know each other when we set out on the trail ride around the top of the mountain but we were good friends by the time that we finished it. I shot around 40 minutes of footage from the ride - it was VERY hard squeezing it down into 10 minutes for a YouTube upload...so much got left out! I do have a 15 minute DVD version though... :-) - Ray Bertram
