DIU are a big deal in the USA. Where I live, if you are very unlucky you get pulled over by the police and the have to choose: pay the bill or by something of the DA´s office, like and air conditioner or what ever. So no, no problem with drinking and driving here

Yep, a drunk driver hit the gas when the light turned green, and hit me, and I was was behind her. But it was her lucky day because I was drinking too. :)
