When you do something crazy like running for the US Congress, you learn a lot about issues like health care. I certainly did, and during the course of my campaign I began to realize just how badly broken our health care system really is. It doesn't work for health care providers, and it certainly doesn't work for the more than 47 million Americans who have no health care insurance. All of that became painfully obvious to me when, in the fall of 2007, I was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
I made this video to urge passage of HR676 - Health care for all Americans.
That is exactly what health insurance is hardhittn63. Just like all other insurance policies ever created in history, you have to pay your own portion so that everyone can benefit. Can you afford your own fire department or police department? didnt think so

Then apparently you don't seem to be in a whole with the group. Imagine if you can't, will you still say the same?

But I can afford healthcare. I don't want to be forced to pay for someone elses.
