This is amazing. I wasn't aware that celebrities were doing endorsements this early. We're always told that it started in the 1970s. Clearly not. The 60s were a hard time for all the studio stars. They had to either find stage or television work - or do this.

Even when she is trying to sell headache medicine she is adorable:)

nice voice and lovely lady, she kind of went under the radar sort off; Olivia is the more know one although ms. Fontaine also won an oscar; very nice.

In addition to Joan being so lovely, this is technically a GREAT commercial.
The product is named several times, the product is shown, and it is stated why the product is best.
There are commercials that run today and I don't even know what they are trying to sell.

@4262009AP such a shame she and her sister are estranged, to live so long and not be able to heal that rift... tragedy.
-
@4262009AP And, still As HOT & SEXY as ever.
-
Joseph Cotten also "pitched" Bristol-Myers' Bufferin in their commercials that year....

@jephsteph ~ No problem, lol. Look at it this way. If you take "and Olivia" out of the sentence, it doesn't look right to say "I wish her...." That was how I learned how to remember it, long ago.

No, Joan Fontaine is still alive and well. In fact, today (October 22) she celebrated her 92nd birthday.
