For my English homework assignment, I had one day to write who I would cast, what the setting, costumes, music, and theme would be like, and what the first opening scene would be if I created a movie for Ayn Rand's book, Anthem. Along with writing all of that, I created a trailer.

The music is Locke'd Out Again from the TV series Lost, composed by Michael Giacchino.

Thanks to 13mordeth for the clip of the hawk and shastasheene for the clips of the scenery and the woman.

  • I don't know why you guys are cracking on this video. This is genius. I have to do the same thing, and mine is shit compared to this. Good job Hyperwires!

  • @cheesebowls Thank you so much for that comment...I'm just rereading through some and there's so many negative ones...This was just a school assignment from sophomore year of high school and I only had one day to put it together with no actors, so I'm proud of what I made with what I had.

I just wish people wouldn't be so critical and take that into account.

  • If your voice didn't sound like it belonged as the host of a horrow show, this woul dhave been better. Plus, there weren't enough shots of things from the book. You made it seem like there was this whole huge great world with all of the nature scenerey- but in the society they really didn't branch out farther than the uncharted forrest and their confined town. Nice video though.

  • @flippinflamingoo Well, as I mentioned in the description, I had one weekday to put this together, so frpm about 5:00PM when I get home, till about 10:00 when I went to sleep. I also had no actors, costumes, props, etc. so I did the best I could. I tried to put the nature scenes along with the words to show how the main character was hopeful and searching for knowledge. It's everything he was missing...what he wanted. And he does eventually leave the town. It was supposed to be inspirational.

  • @chemicallove911 You need to stop posting on youtube if you only have negative hurtful things to say. This is a fantastic video!

  • tool why would you put this on youtube all that crap about believing

  • That was great considering the lack of resources and time. Don't be ashamed at all of what you produced.

  • that was way better than most movies trailers today, honestly

  • I LOVE THIS!!! I think this is the best fanmade trailer of Anthem! You did great with what you had!

  • WOW! Fantastic. You have great skill. Don't listen to the naysayers here. You will go very far.

  • You have a pretty good narrating voice! You captured the atmosphere put forth in the book and you were as dramatic as any thriller trailer should be! Hey, keep on reading Rand's novels and not only will you have a skill, you'll also know how to use it. Excellent job, disregard the nasty reviewers (they're jealous, just like all untalented collectivists :-)

  • @hyperwires Ahaha, wow. One year ago, that's crazy. I'm a sophomore in High School now :D Still, good job!
