  • Yes That is what they say. So now answer the Question. Why in Greek is Iesous to English Joshua and Jesus.

The I to J is decoy and has nothing to do with the question at hand.

my point is the KJV has errors.

If Iesous in Greek means Joshua the how can it mean Jesus In the same Greek?

Show me a name in one language has two total different meaning and spelling.

  • sorry for the late reply. Joshua comes from Yehoshua, Yeshua is the shortened form. In some places in the NT Iesous is said to be Joshua, but it can also be Jesus, depending on who it's talking about (Joshua who led them into the Promised land or the Messiah). The one step you are missing is that it went from Iesous in the Greek, to Iesus in Latin. The masculine ending as added so it wasn't a feminine name in the Greek. Later English the "i" went to a "j" making Iesus Jesus.

  • @seekerofyhwh

I am pointing out chaos in the translation.

The old and new test are written in Greek, and the same word, spelled the same, in Greek are total spelled different and have no connection in meaning when converted to English.

And see I used (IF). If the PC bible program I have is correct then what other error or chaos are caused from translations.

  • It is Yeshua, which transliterated to Greek becomes IESOUS. So the answer to your question is: Nither! If it was transliterated from Hebrew to English it would be Yeshua or Yashua.

  • what does this have to do with your tags?
