LIPA, Levy and enXco Spotlight Hauppauge Solar Carport Project

Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy and the LIPA officials joined by representatives from the international wind and solar project developer enXco highlight the impressive array of solar carports that have been raised on the south side of the H. Lee Dennison Building. The work involves the use of thousands of solar panels to construct 10 carport buildings at this location, and is expected to be completed by early to mid 2012. This will be followed by the construction of 14 solar buildings on the north side of the Dennison Building.
