The story is about a dream. The story is about courage. Anthony Keating dreamed about building the World's Fastest Production Car. Dan Keating had the courage to drive the car 260 MPH on a dirt track. Dan looked death in the eyes and did not blink. He reached 260 MPH. See our previous video, "World's Fastest Production Car" linked here. Its a great story. The original chase vehicle, a corvette, spun out at 130 MPH. The driver refused to drive on this dirt surface again. The Keating TKR hit 260 MPH using only 900 HP of the engines available 1750 hp. The TKR did so on a short dirt track. As to the comments that the Shelby Aero or the Bugatti Veyron recently increasing their top speed, can anyone doubt that the TKR would go much faster than 260 MPH on a good surface road and engaging the 900 more HP still available? As to the objections about the Keating TKR is not a production car, this may be a matter of debate. The fact remains anyone with sufficient funds can order this same car with this extraordinary TT NRE SBC engine. Its perfectly streetable as any production car. See the dyno of this very engine. Our Kudos and highest respect to the Keating Brothers from England!!! See the Keating interview at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuqHmVaOCzc . too the comment that the Veyron is "crap" is was built as a technical exercise to expand technology. Having witness piston test of the 2004 Cobra motor made me appreciate what production engines are put through. Having worked on the piston design of this engine for Ks pistons, i witness and engine run at max hp for 10 minutes then max torque for 10 minutes and this cycled continuously for 40 hours, just to see how the piston would wear or "scuff". This is a fraction of endurance runs.

Being an engineer and self taught engine builder having built BB Ford of 600 horse, I'm amazed at what NRE has acheived. The Dual personality that there engines are capable of is amazing. I would love to see what NRE's TT small block could do in a pulling truck where the Norm is huge cubic inches and/or being blown is the norm

@idontcare80 Seeing as it's done 260 on low boost, it'll certainly accelerate to 260 ALOT faster when you turn the boost up....those guys were hardly toying with it on this run. It's safe to say (since the mustang isn't nearly as aerodynamic as the keating) that the keating will go faster than 260....btw I don't see how this car being a "stripped down go-kart" even matters, its all about how fast you can go and how quickly you can get to that speed. Weight has nothing to do with top speed anyway

@DeAdiSSu3 Man, you are thick. The Mustang lost control at just over 260, why couldn't the Keating car? There is no way to know when this car will loose control because it's never been tested in a wind tunnel and there is also no way to know how much faster this car can go. Right now, it can go 260 and that's not very impressive for a stripped down go cart with a twin turbo V8.

@idontcare80 I wasn't talking about the mustang that got airborn at 260, I was talking about the keating....which is alot more aerodynamic than the mustang was....the keating can go faster than 260, sorry if that makes you angry. Why do you dislike this car so much, anyway? It went fucking 260 mph pushing low boost on a dirt runway.....anyone who claims to be a car enthusiest can appreciate what the keating tkr did, especially with those "track" conditions....

@DeAdiSSu3 Did that Mustang make it to 260 mph? YES. Did it make it to 268? NO!!! That's why REAL car companies do wind tunnel testing, so they don't shred a car and possibly kill a driver while trying to figure out how fast that car can go before it goes airborne.
Geez, with the way your brain works, I bet you could convince yourself that your own shit was bean dip and eat it right out of the toilet bowl.

@idontcare80 Its obviously not unstable at 260 mph on dirt so if it had more room, i'm guessing it'll go quite a bit faster before that happens.
DeAdiSSu3 7 months ago
@DeAdiSSu3 lol, geez. THE WHOLE CAR BECOMES A WING!!!
idontcare80 7 months ago
@idontcare80 Sure I can, seeing as this car doesn't have a wing in the first place....
DeAdiSSu3 7 months ago
@DeAdiSSu3 Without wind tunnel testing you can inadvertently create a wing shape that could be unstable at high speeds. You can't just look at something and say it's more aerodynamic.
