Holiday for Strings was written by Rose. You can notice after the 1st part with pitzzicato strings that the orchestra attack with the 3 sections, half of 1 with sharp sound the rest a little more up and chellos and bass all together Then he became director of the MGM philarmonic in 1943 because of the orchestral sound and the other reason was economic with less musicians and less cost for better results After 1948 he started to use the echo chamber he was the first Director to use it.
