Mikey's First Day of Kindergarten-Slipping Through My Fingers

Meet Mikey! I would love for you to introduce me to a more beautiful, charismatic little boy. Because I guarantee you'll never be able to find one. Mikey is 5 years old, and is starting Kindergarten this Monday, August 3rd, 2009. He is already able to read over 50 sight words, simple multiple word sentences, writes all his letters/numbers, and his memory is unbelievable. He has a bright and endless future ahead of him! At the same time, I will miss his innocent, carefree days of just playing around outside, without a worry in the world. I will miss his willingness to kiss me on the cheek in public [we all know that will stop when he starts school! lol] But in spite of all this, the unconditional love I share with this little boy will never change. He is now and forever, my little prince, my shining star!
