Don't leave me, Fairy Tale Forest! Don't go! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
-
I went to Fairytale Forest and Gingerbread Castle the same day back in 1970 when I was 10. Some of the Lewis kids (Judy) and Mrs. Lewis and some of my family (the Heidgerds) of Saddle River. Our family was moving up to Connecticut that year so this was like a going away get-together day trip. So many neat places that our current society sees no point in. Pity... We won't be around much longer most likely-- Look around you at our sad, sad, (oh, and mad, and evil too) world around you NOW!!

I went here as a kid when it was functioning, probably early 80's. It was friggin weird even back then. Sad to see independent attraction closing one by one.

I remember going here as a child, so sad that its gone! They should have sold the the things left inside, instead of leaving it to ruin.

I used to go there as a kid. I spent my summers at Lake Hopatcong and this had been a family tradition along with trips to the Gingerbread Castle. It's sad to see it in such disrepair! I guess today's kids are too sophisticated to appreciate places like this. RIP, FTF...
