thanks' your videos have helped me so much i just bought a wurly 2800' for a $100 bucks and cleaned everything' all contacts' but can't make a selection from the keyboard selection light goes on if i press say A1 the solanoids engage but only the motor spins 'but will not pop up A1 pin to spin carage the number solanoid will hold down but the letter will not pop the pin up? any help on this would be great and keep the vids coming i'm sure you have helped a lot of D.I.Y selfers. peace
looking forward to part 2. I recently dismantled a wurly 2300s because of a broken lift arm. When i put it back together, i had problems with the selectors not working and the playing deck was out of alignment. All fixed now mind, and sounding fantastic.
Excellent video Retrochad, and good explanation of how the selector works. I had a 2600 many years ago. I had a key stick on my 1800, and it burned out the coil. I have not repaired it and decided I can live with one selection missing. The 1800 does not have selector rings. I have not had any problems with the 1900 or 2000, and I hope I never do with the 2000. The 2000 selector mechanism is constructed differently and looks like a beast to work on.

Looking good, eh! Once you get the keyboard clean, it should be good as new. :-)

I just noticed at the beginning of your video is a Bell & howell 16mm projector with the cover off.

How do you re assemble the carosel (SP?) when you have the records inside it without breaking them?
