there is a differencer between exposure and mass appeal. yuna was newly signed and this is how her label introduced her to the world. they used pharells and this song to spoonfeed a new artist to the masses. cobain loathed mass appeal. he made inutero with the sole intent of losing some of it. songs like tourettes were meant to scare off jocks and preps as cobain would say. nirvana did covers when they were successful already to give exposure to other artists not to leach from their success

obviously you miss the point completely. doing covers is not the issue, all bands do them. the difference is the record label created the idea for her to do this song along with one produced by pharrell. it was a marketing thing. then they even made a video of the cover. this is ridiculous because it was blatant whoring of nirvanas song to get exposure for a newly signed artist. when cobain did unplugged it was at height of popularity and honors the band covered not leaches off them.
