  • Great video! We found this line by mistake on a trip to Aviemore. Splendid bleak scenery. Hope they get back to Grantown and one day Forres!

  • Thanks for your comments. I love the area. Back in the days when the line was only Boat of Garten to Aviemore Speyside(now closed), I drove the passenger trains for 10 years. Those Cairngorm Mountains were a different colour every day - absolutly superb.

  • I really think this is one of the best scottish preserved lines and the potential is huge...going over Dava Moor, must be one of the greatest options any preserved line can have!!! The only possible rival would be the Waverley south of Hawick..but the WRHA have only laid one mile of track and Whitrope tunnel has collapsed..Keep up the good work!!
