@claruon You're spot on, my Mum's British, she met my Dad who's an Iraqi in England where he was studying. They moved to iraq before the Gulf War. She said that Iraq was a very developed nation. Saddam may have been a dictator, but at least they people had food on their tabled and homes to sleep in. Woman's right's were developed far beyond the west. My great grandma on my Father's side went to university. My mother said University wasn't an option for women in UK.
Thanks for sharing the truth.

At least Halliburton and Blackwater got rich. Bush took care of his cronies.

LOL What a lie!
Burkas were worn in Afghanistan Not Iraq you uneducated fool!
Stop with the self-delusional. America has not liberated any country nor has it improve the condition of the people there.

@claruon This is a joke. How the hell do you know what it was like in Iraq before the invasion? Women had to wear burkas long before we were there. In fact, they even has special little houses where they would lock women up and rape them and beat them. Violence has always happened in Iraq. To think that the US would arrive and suddenly perfection is achieved is quite child like thinking.

incredibly sad....the human race that is
as a reporter who has been there a few times before US Invasion and after I have to say that Iraq seems worse off now than it was under Saddam, especially women had practically the same rights as men, back then, nowadays they have to wear burqas, are not allowed anywhere alone, don't get any medical attention, are not allowed to read or write, to listen to music...

"(War is) a racket. A few profit - and the many pay. But there is a way to stop it. It can be smashed effectively only by taking the profit out of war."
"I spent most of my time (in the military as) a high class muscle-man for Wall Street. I was a gangster for capitalism."
"TO HELL WITH WAR!"
Quotes from the 1935 pamphlet 'War is a Racket' written by Major General Smedley Butler, United States Marine Corps, one of only 20 soldiers to twice be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
